Teaching dogs to accept going into and resting in a crate is an important life skill for everyday. Even older dogs who are potty trained should still have maintenance training with a crate to ensure it's a tool that can be used at any point in life. Such as an older dog who has an injury and needs to be on crate rest to recover.

Puppies have only a short time to socialize and it is important that time is used wisely.  In our Puppy Building Blocks™ program we focus on providing positive experiences while interacting with other puppies, our staff, and their environment.

Dogs are not born with impulse control.  Puppies and dogs alike (unless otherwise taught) are very impulsive and if they see something they want, they take it.  It is up to us to teach them the skills to wait patiently or politely ask for what they want.

At Canine Craze we don't believe having a "free for all" play group is in the best interest of the puppies and dogs in our care.  We purposely provide informal training sessions throughout the day to encourage and teach each puppy and dog to take breaks.  Doing so assists with puppies and dogs learning how to better regulate their emotions.

While dogs are with us we conduct informal training throughout the day while in a group setting.  Touching on common obedience and manners.

Teaching dogs to accept and participate in their grooming and medical care can decrease fear, anxiety and stress (FAS) in both people and their dog.  Within our Puppy Building Blocks™ Program we focus on introducing puppies to this concept using conditioning and positive reinforcement.
