(Delta Society)
Canine Craze supports the Delta Society Therapy dog program. We believe this organization has the best policies regarding the safety of both the dog and handler teams and the patients the teams visit. Delta Society requires teams to retest every two years; which Canine Craze feels is a necessity due to the aging and changes our pets go through. Also, Delta Society requires each handler to take a “Pet Partner Training Course” to learn about the rules and regulations regarding therapy dog work which we feel better prepares teams to visit in the community. After becoming certified Paws & Effect stays heavily involved in each teams arrangements to visit in community to best pair teams and patients together.
The Therapy dog program is tested through Paws & Effect a Non-Profit Service Dog organization in Des Moines.
