(What is Canine Good Citizen?)
The following skills will be covered in this class.
Week 6 of class the CGC test will be offered to all students to earn certificate.
A test out of the following skills is required to move onto Therapy dog classes.
- Accepting a friendly stranger
- Sit politely for petting
- Appearance and grooming
- Out for a walk
- Walking through a crowd
- Sit and down on command and staying in place
- Coming when called
- Reaction to another dog
- Reaction to distraction
- Supervised separation
Session 3: May 29, June 5, 12, 19, 26, Jul 10 (no class 7/3)
Session 4: Jul 24, 31, Aug 7, 14, 21, 28
Session 5: Sept 18, 25, Oct 2, 9, 16, 23
Therapy Dog Preparation – Sunday 4:00 PM
Prerequisite: Obedience Skills 3 class completed

Test requirements
*Week 6 of class will consist of an evaluation completed by an outside certified TDI evaluator. If you would like to take the test on week 6 it will require an additional fee; this fee will be set by the evaluator.
